Licensing Myself
This week, I decided to license myself! More specifically, I decided to license this very blog! I had never done this before, or even thought about doing it, but honestly learning how to seems like a very valuable skill.
I found the process to be pretty smooth and easy. I first started on the Creative Commons site, with their really helpful choose a license for your work page. After going through some of the option, I decided to go with the CC BY-NC 4.0 license. This requires others to give credit to me, while also allowing them to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon my blog, as long as it's not for commercial use. This seemed like the right option for me and my blog, and I proudly have my attribution at the bottom of my page now!
Creative Commons was a great website to use and learn more about specific attributes of the license. I felt knowledgeable of my choices and would recommend anyone to look on the website even to just explore what all of it means. I'll be the first to admit that I never really understood all of this until learning more in class, but its super important to know and understand!
