Goodreads
I love using Goodreads! It's my favorite app to go to when I'm looking for something to read, or just want to know what a book is about. It also allows me to keep track of all the books I've read, and all the books my friends have read to. This makes it easy to open conversation with them and ask how they enjoyed their last read, or ask if they'd recommend. Another feature I love using is the TBR. As someone who is an avid reader, my list of books I want to read is EXTREMELY long and makes it easy to forget what I may have wanted to read. Using Goodreads, it's easy to keep track of it. I also enjoy the little challenges that Goodreads has and actually reminds me a lot of the challenges in this class. I love seeing the little badges I earn, it feels like earning a sticker back in elementary school!
Recently, I just started a book club with two of my friends. We read a few chapters and then meet every week to discuss them. We're currently reading The Wedding People by Alison Espach, and before that, we read Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry. We were able to find both of these books from Goodreads! We actually took a bunch of books from all of our TBRs, put them into a wheel, and spun the wheel to decide what to read.
In the spirit of exploring Goodreads as a tool, I figured I'd list some books on my own TBR as well as my most recent reads! Don't judge me, I'm a big romance reader!
TBR:
- The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune
-The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green
- Battle of the Bookstores by Ali Brady
Recently Read:
- Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry
- Happy Place by Emily Henry
- Summer in the City by Alex Aster
- Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez
Currently Reading:
- The Wedding People by Alison Espach
- The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
Please let me know if you have any recommendations on books I should read or add to my list, or if you've read any of the books I've mentioned and your thoughts on them!
